Prescribing for Wellbeing Toolkit

Wellbeing Wellington, the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners and Te Pou are developing a Toolkit for collaborative prescribing of psychotropic medication.

Sarah O’Connor is leading this project which is a collaboration with all the members of the Equally Well Toolkit Oversight Group which comprises representatives from Wellbeing Wellington, Emerge Aotearoa, Te Pou and Matua Raḵi, the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (RNZCGP), the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) – New Zealand National Committee, Te Ao Maramatanga – the College of Mental Health Nurses, and the Mental Health Special Interest Group of the Pharmaceutical Society.

Four scenarios will be built and scripted around the story of a person’s journey through services, beginning at primary care.

The current project will deliver a scripted video of a prescribing conversation between a mental health service user and a general practitioner and it will be supported by links and resources.
